Here at Upton Junior School, we wish to develop a school which reflects the beliefs and values of the local community, as well as the ever-growing global community of our future. To this end we want everybody involved with the school, not least the pupils and you as parents, to help shape and support the schools vision and values.
As a school we have agreed our vision will be:-

To achieve this vision, we are developing core values across the school.
We want the Upton child to be:
- Aspirational
- Resilient
- Curious
Each week we focus on one of these core values. It will be introduced in our Wednesday assembly and then followed up within the classroom during the course of the week. In our Monday achievement assembly, we celebrate those children who have particular shown they are following this value and they will be presented with a certificate.
If your child does something which clearly shows they are following the week’s value, please send in a brief note, photograph etc so that we can share this with the rest of the class.
